Romany Rambler vote on the cheese scones ----they must qualify as a 10/10 as they all got eaten!! Really delicious Marilyn - and was that a shake of cayenne pepper perhaps?
Irene, Best you try again in the boat, girl! Forget the non-fat yoghurt and use all milk, or buy a small pottle of plain unsweetened Greek Yoghurt. And crank the heat up really high ... Jenny, yes there's 1/4 tsp cayenne in the mix. I will email you the recipe - they will work well in your new stove in the caravan - an experiment before you head home, perhaps! I'm glad you like them, both of you - the originals at the Ministry of Food Cafe in Wellington have people lined up out the door to purchase them between 9.15 and 10.30am. Mine are never as big or risen as there's but they are also very yummy! It's the great quantity of cheese and the paprika that give them the edge over other cheese scones, I reckon. Mxx
